printcmr-op-een-netwerkPrintCMR can be used in various ways in a network. We explain how here. (Note: Windows systems)

The cost-effective solution: Place the standard PrintCMR software, which you have downloaded, on a network drive.

- The cost-effective solution means that only 1 user can use the software at any one time.

- It can be accessed from all workstations, but the second user will see a message stating that PrintCMR is already in use. He or she will have to wait until the first user has exited PrintCMR.

- As standard, PrintCMR is installed to the following folder:
c:\eenvoudigg\PrintCMRversieXX\

- The folder called c:\eenvoudigg contains all the files required for PrintCMR operation.

- Copy the c:\eenvoudigg folder to a separate folder on your network drive, which can be accessed by all your users. For example, drive F: where all your network files are located.

- The software does not need to be installed on the other PCs.

- From one of your workstations, start "printcmr XX.exe" in the folder where the program is located. It works!

- Make sure that all users have write permissions in the PrintCMR folder!!
- Make sure that you have purchased the network licence for version 13.

The more expensive solution: With multiple users simultaneously (Multi-User)

- PrintCMR is based on FileMaker Pro, which means that it is suitable for hundreds of simultaneous users.

- If than 5 active users work with the software simultaneously, we advise you to activate FileMaker Server.

- You should allow for a cost of approximately 350 euros per workstation if you want to use PrintCMR in a full Multi-User configuration.

- FileMaker offer excellent Multi-User functionality. Users are notified when other users make changes to the same information.

Terminal Server: extra attention required

- FileMaker products are Windows certified and therefore support Terminal Server.

- If Terminal Server is used, FileMaker's VLA licence is required for the workstation. This is associated with a licence number that is registered by name and allows use via multiple workstations based on a single number.

- FileMaker Server is required to access the data.
